An evening with a world artist –

We are delighted to be able to bring two of Australia’s most talented, knowledgeable and travelled artists. Each has offered an evening to share their artist journey from Australia to important wildlife areas on our planet.

Chris McClelland a retired sheep grazier has drawn all his life. With his incredible eye for detail and ever patient understanding of the temperaments and energy of his subjects, his work has won prizes and acknowledgment Australia wide. He will share exclusive stories of his art and recent African safaris.

Chris McClelland will travel from Hay in NSW. You can book to join our small audience on Friday, evening 9 March from 7pm.

Bearded Vulture - Lammergeyer

Dr Pete Marshall is a vet who travels the world helping preserve and recording the wildlife on our planet. Pete will offer a wealth of information, share her thoughts and you will be treated to insider knowledge about her various forms of artworks.

Budding artists are invited to do an animal drawing (prize-for the most popular – a framing voucher from Pier Gallery Dromana to get it framed.)

conditions of entry:

  • Artist must be an amateur i.e they do not have an ABN.

The drawing must be the original work of the artist with no physical assistance given by anyone else.

  • No age limit.
  • Drawing must be unframed, on paper.
  • Maximium size is 26x34 cms or 10 x 14 ins
  • Maximum two entries per artist.
  • $2.00 entry per drawing
  • Judging will be a combined vote by a panel of wildlife artists and by popular votes
  • Prize will be the Brialyn Drawing Award Certificate and a framing voucher to help with framing the winning work. (Framing voucher provided by Pier Gallery in Pier St Dromana)
  • The framed, winning painting will be displayed in the gallery during April.
